Why did you want to work at EOAH? I've always had a strong love and passion for animals. I felt that East Orlando Animal Hospital truly provided the type of care I believed in and knew I would enjoy working here.
How long have you worked at EOAH? 7 years.
What is your role at EOAH? I oversee all aspects of EOAH - including strategic and financial planning, marketing, human resources and day-to-day operations.
Where did you go to school? The University of Central Florida
Family Members: I've been married to my wonderful husband Dax for 6 years. We have 2 beautiful children named Taylor and Connor. We share our home with a 11 year old rescue dog, Asia and an 10 year old English Mastiff named Gia Bella.
Community/Volunteer Work: As busy life permits, I enjoy participating in community events like Race for the Cure and the Wiggle Waggle Dog Walk.
Name: Kim Bissing, Floor Manager
Born: Born in New Jersey and raised in Boston, MA
Why did you choose to work with animals? At a young age, I helped my parents take care of our animals at home and have since had a passion for them. I love all aspects of animal care from veterinary medicine to rescue and rehabilitation.
Where did you go to school? Graduated from Bridgewater State College with a B.S. in Biology and a concentration in Environmental and Marine Biology also a member of the Tri-Beta Honor Society.
How long have you worked at EOAH? 5 years.
Family Members: My husband Curtis and I share our home with our 3 dogs - A rotti mix who is a rescue dog named Kahlua, Tinkerbell and Jasmine our Dachschunds, 2 turtles, Randy the chameleon and 2 African frogs.
Community/Volunteer Work: I currently volunteer with MOTE Whale and Dolphin Hospital.
Name: Robin Garvey, Animal Care Supervisor
Born: Buffalo, NY
Why did you want to work at EOAH? I've always been a pet owner but wanted to do more to make a difference in the lives of animals and felt that East Orlando Animal Hospital would allow me to do just that.
What is your role at EOAH? I am in charge of all aspects of East Orlando Animal Hospitals Pet Lodge from the care of the animals to the direct supervision of the Animal Care Technicians working with our furry friends.
Family Members: My family consists of Jennifer, Jac and our four legged ones... Sierra, Bella, Thor and Chloe.
Community/Volunteer Work: I organize special breed monthly parties for the community, hosted by EOAH. I am also involved with various organizations during the holidays that aid in providing a happy holiday season.
Name: Alicia duPont, Client Care Specialist Supervisor
Born: Wilmington, DE
Why did you choose to work with animals? I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals and various types of pets. I attempted other careers but somehow fell into this, found it was my passion and never left.
What is your role at EOAH? I have had the pleasure of working at EOAH for 4 wonderful years and am responsible for the reception department. I oversee all aspects of the client care, communication, and customer service as well as many other behind the scenes duties.
Where did you go to school? Ithaca College
Family Members: I have a large human family as well as my four legged family members which include 2 chihuahuas; Dulcy & Manny, and 2 large cats; Zena & Monkey.
Community/Volunteer Work: I enjoy participating in volunteer work with SPCA. They are a wonderful organization!
