East Orlando Animal Hospital in the Community
At East Orlando Animal Hospital, our staff prides itself on giving back to our community. Whether it is a booth at a charity fundraiser or community outreach and education, our employees find fulfillment in bringing a smile to someone’s face through a mutual love of animals.
Local Library Talks
Some of our doctors, joined by one of our managers and behavior trainers, have gone to our local libraries and talked about animal-related issues with the community. The discussions have ranged from adapting the home for babies, toddlers, and dogs to pets’ nutrition, and talks have also included flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and choosing the proper pet for your home and family.
Our library talks are all local, and they are free and open to the public! We welcome you to stop by and learn more about pet care and well-being; it is important to be an educated pet owner.
Our practice has had two of our own, Tinkerbell and Asia, and their humans, Kim and Katie, participate in Be an Angel Therapy Dogs Ministry. Be an Angel Therapy Dogs Ministry is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that certifies very special dogs and their owners in therapy work. Along with their owners, Tinkerbell and Asia visited nursing homes to uplift the residents and served as ambassadors for our hospital in local events, and they even promoted reading by visiting schools and encouraging the kids to read stories to them!
Needless to say, we are proud of our therapy dogs and the work they did in the Central Florida area. We also look forward to having more of our team join the cause!
