Care for Birds, Reptiles & Mammals in Orlando
At East Orlando Animal Hospital, we provide routine wellness, preventive care, and medical services for your bird or other exotic pet. Exotic pets can also be seen by the vets at our animal clinic for behavioral issues.
- Wellness & Preventive Care
Just like cats and dogs, birds and other exotic pets benefit from regular veterinary care to help live a long, happy, and healthy life. Our veterinarians are trained in the unique care and husbandry needs of these species.
During the initial wellness visit, your veterinarian will thoroughly review your pet’s housing, nutrition, and care. A complete and thorough physical exam will be done. Health screening tests and vaccines will be discussed and recommended when indicated. Your veterinarian will discuss any husbandry, health, or behavior concerns with you and answer any questions you might have. Recommendations will be tailored to the needs of your pet and their family.
- Sick Pet Appointments & Daytime Emergencies
Birds and other exotic pets with health or behavior concerns can be seen by our experienced veterinarians. If possible, please call (407) 277-3497 in advance to determine our availability. While we do accept walk-in and work-in emergencies for exotic pets, there may be an additional fee if double booking of appointments occurs.
- After Hours Emergencies
While we strive to make ourselves available for daytime emergencies, we ask you to visit one of our after hours emergency care partners whenever your pet needs urgent medical treatment outside of our normal business hours.
